Bor predicts a tough encounter from the wounded KDF side
The Directorate of Criminal Investigations(DCI) Women's Volleyball team head coach Daniel Bor is anticipating for a tough match against the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) when the third leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation(KVF) gets underway on Friday at the Nyayo gymnasium.
Bor predicts that the match will be closely contested by virtue of the hunger for success from both teams which he noted have almost a similar average age.
DCI have played four matches this season, winning three and losing one while KDF have took to the court for the first time this season in the second leg but lost to KCB.
Bor says a win against KDF will enrich their chances of inching closer to the playoffs.
"Both teams are constituted by players who left high school few years ago and they are desperate to prove themselves at the big stage. It will be a tough one but I am certain we will carry the day. We were poor in reception in the second leg but I have worked with the back court players and iron out the mistakes which we were punished for," he said.
In other matches lined up at the same venue, KCB will be gunning for their fourth win of the season when they play a winless Nairobi Prisons while Nairobi Water will be out to end their skid when they face KDF.
KCB top the standings with nine points while Nairobi Prisons and Nairobi Water are second and third from bottom respectively.
