Kenya’s George ‘King George’ Onyango has vowed to inflict a first defeat on Ugandan opponent Junju Power in one of the highly anticipated bouts to headline Saturday’s first ever Four-man Welterweight Boxing Tournament in Kenya.
The 26-year-old Kenyan, who has a 9-1-2 record, will battle it out for the main event, where the winner will walk away with a cash prize of Ksh. 500,000.
Speaking during Friday’s weigh-in at the Ultra Fight Series offices in Nairobi, Onyango said: “I didn’t come here to joke. I only have one shot to make it in life and I am going to take it, this kid from Uganda won't stand in my way.”

Vying for the three belts on offer, Onyango will have to go through the Ugandan Power, who boasts of a clean slate of seven pro-bouts without defeat and all won via knock-out.
“All the preparations and logistics are in check for the big fight,” UFS CEO Maurice Odera, who promised final bouts for the winner later in August said.
The fight card includes a total of 12 bouts, all of which will be staged at the Edge Convention Center in South C, Nairobi, with the first fight ringing off at 1800 EAT.
