The Kenya Basketball Federation released the final roster for the men's 3x3 team that will represent the country in this year’s African Games.

Ulinzi Warriors' forward Elisha Odhiambo, who has been a constant figure in the 3x3 U23 team, headlines the squad, captaining the team that has Rodney OlangJason Nwodo, and Denis Koja under coach Tony Ochieng

This year’s African games will have 3x3 in the U23 category, with the top 16 African countries represented.

"Both Kenya’s men's and women's teams qualified for the games due to the country’s current ranking. However, due to financial constraints, basketball was awarded only one team’s slot in the Kenyan contingent to the Games," acting federation Secretary General Angela Luchivya explained in a press release naming the squad.

Head coach Ochieng is confident his charges have what it takes to take on their opponents and work their way to the podium.

"We have been in training since January but got into residential camp last week, and all is well. We are in top shape, and with the squad being a mix of experience and youth, I am confident we can make it to the podium," the coach said.

The team departs the country for Accra, Ghana, with the last batch of Kenya’s Africa Games contingent on March 13, with matches set to be held from March 18 to 22 at the Legon Netball Court in Accra, Ghana.
