Seven women and a similar number of men have been named in the provisional squads.
Team Kenya to the 3x3 Africa Cup 2022 schedule for 1 to 5 December is set to begin training on Saturday 12 November ahead of the competition.
Kenya Basketball Federation (KBF) has named Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) trio of Medina Okot, Rita Oluoch and Jemimah Omondi in the women's team.
The three are set to be joined in camp by Zetech Sparks' Mary Lisa, Christine Akinyi and Esther Minayo as well as Dynamites' Winnie Chebet for the team.
There is, however, doubt whether the varsity quartet will be available for the assignment as Sparks' head coach Maurice Obilo has revealed that the university schedule may not allow his three players to honour the call ups.
"All the three players are awaiting their final exams for their respective years of study and it is almost impossible to convince the school to sign off on their absence. Additionally, the local league is still on and these are my main players in the team," Obilo offered.
Additionally, Dynamites' Chebet has been out of action for weeks, having undergone surgery on both knees and is yet to return to action for the Juma Kent-led team.
Meanwhile, the men's provisional squad is largely comprised of players that did duty for the country at the Commonwealth Games as Kenya made her debut at the Club Games as well as the RedBull 3x3 championship representatives.
The Commonwealth Games representative Daryl Omondi of Strathmore Blades, United States International University (USIU) duo of Larry Shavanga and Ariel Ortega, KPA's John Wiljass and Eugene Adera as well as Equity Bank's James Mwangi.
