The 14-year-old Kenyan, the son of former Sports CS Ababu Namwamba, heads to the UK competition in good form after dominating the charts back home to lead the 2025 championship standings.
Cheche's motorsport journey began with GP Karting at age five before transitioning to competitive buggy racing at 12.
He gained international prominence in March 2025 when the FIA chose him to debut the new CrossCar aimed at encouraging motorsports for young rally drivers worldwide.
In a career-defining moment, Cheche drove the CrossCar to open the WRC Safari Rally at the Kasarani Super Special Stage in Nairobi.
Joining the Peter Gwynne Motorsport Team, Cheche will follow in the footsteps on the likes of Norwegian Rallycross star Ole Henry Steinsholt (2023 Höljes RX2e winner) and Latvian Roberts Vitols (2025 Multiple Rally X Supercar Lites winner) who also contested the MSUK Junior Rallycross Championship with PGM.
"I am excited to make my international rallycross debut in the UK," says Cheche. "This is an incredible opportunity. I am excited for the challenge and looking forward to testing my ability against young and upcoming drivers from other parts of the world. I am grateful to all my family and friends who have supported me this far, and I hope I can do them proud as I represent Kenya racing in the UK."
The Pembrey double-header is run as a joint event with the BTRDA Clubmans Rallycross Championship.
Reigning overall champion Alex Fletcher leads the overall order thanks to a pair of wins so far in his Production-specification Honda Civic.
Hayden Harris (Suzuki Swift) meanwhile, is top of the BTRDA Junior standings.
Both rounds will be broadcast live and free via livestream on the 5 Nations BRX YouTube Channel and Facebook page.
