Porto are allegedly on the verge of returning Juve's loanee Tiago Djalo to Turin, as his fun-loving nature and fondness for nightlife have become a serious issue

At one point, a few years ago, it seemed that Tiago Djalo could be the next "big thing" in European football. The Portuguese - who's moved through Sporting Lisbon and AC Milan's youth categories - shone with the French Lille after failing to make an appearance with the Rossoneri.

The San Siro club brought the centre-back from Sporting as a 19-year-old for €1 million, only to sell him six months later to the Ligue 1 side, earning €3 million more.

Djalo spent five years in France, playing 103 games for Les Dogues, before Juventus decided to gamble on him, give him a chance to develop, and try to exploit his immense potential, splashing out €5 million for his transfer. However, in competition with defenders like Bremer, Federico Gatti, and Pierre Kalulu, the 25-year-old wouldn't have enough playing time, so the Old Lady opted to loan him to Porto.

Yet, that's when things started going south...

Once he returned to his homeland, Djalo's fun-loving nature and fondness for nightlife started coming to light. Namely, according to the renowned Portuguese paper A Bola, Djalo was among four players who broke the club's disciplinary rules by going out to attend their teammate Otavio's birthday party last Sunday, and Porto are on the verge of returning him to Turin!

The Dragons' decision is no wonder, given that the defender had already made a similar "mischief" by travelling to Madrid to celebrate New Year's Eve before returning for a morning training session ahead of Porto's key clash against Nacional.

Considering his behaviour, Djalo almost certainly won't have a place on the team even if he prematurely returns to Allianz Stadium, so another loan will probably await him. If he manages to correct his disciplinary issues, he may have a chance for a successful career. If not, he'll become another wasted talent, while Juve will realize they have thrown €5 million down the drain.
