Manchester City boss opens up on new, emerging star Cole Palmer who scored his maiden UCL goal for the Citizens in a 5-1 victory at Brugge

As you've probably read by now, Manchester City not only brutally conquered Brugge but seized an opportunity to launch a new, emerging star Cole Palmer.

The 19-year-old attacking midfielder netted only two minutes after substituting Kevin De Bruyne in the second half, scoring his first-ever UCL goal. However, like an authentic coach and master, Pep Guardiola is determined to keep his golden boy firmly on the ground, not allowing him to take things for granted and lose a grip.

So here's Guardiola's culinary advice for the promising youngster, who's knocking on the doors of starting XI.

"The people in this world want things immediately, quick, but everything needs time," he said.

"You cannot cook a good dish if you don't spend time in the kitchen. So, take time."

"Cole has a special quality," said Guardiola. "Inside the box, he has this talent which is difficult to find. When he has the ball there, most of the time, it finishes in the net.

"But I know how it works with young players. We are calm and patient like we have been with Phil Foden as well, " concluded the Spanish tactician.
