FKF Women's Premier League (WPL) clubs once again made good their threat to boycott this weekend's matches as none of the three games scheduled for today, Sunday 15 March took place.
Defending champions Kenya Police Bullets were scheduled to meet Kisped Queens, Bungoma Queens were to have a date with Kisumu Allstarlets, while Madira Soccer Assassins were set to face neighbors Vihiga Queens.

Police Bullets were the only team in the 12-team league, who failed to attend the meeting and sign the letter to FKF announcing the boycott.
Subsequently, the Law Enforcers were ready to play Kisped and had even travelled to Kisumu early Saturday morning and trained at today's venue, Mamboleo Stadium.
The club would then return to the venue today, ready to play Kisped, but the home team neither booked the venue nor showed up at the Stadium, events that were recorded by the match officials.
At the Bungoma National Polytechnic Grounds, both the home team and the away side gave the match a wide berth.
Instead, opted to play two friendly matches; against Bungoma Queens Academy and Matulo Friends respectively.
Bungoma later posted in their social media accounts that they are standing in solidarity with other WPL clubs in demanding for better player welfare.
In the other scheduled clash of the day, the Vihiga Derby pitting Kenyan giants Vihiga Queens and Madira Soccer Assasins failed to take place as Vihiga, who are facing a myriad of challenges, failed to travel.
The WPL teams concerns include: the lack of communication from FKF regarding the already disbursed FIFA Women Development Fund and delayed unveiling of a Women Premier League sponsor, which had been promised for November 2025.
The teams are also protesting the failure to disburse financial support to women’s teams by the end of the first leg of the season, as earlier promised by the Women Representative.
WPL teams have also taken issue with the absence of a sponsor for the Women’s Cup competition.
FKF has already scheduled a meeting with the clubs on Tuesday, 17 March in an effort to find a solution.
