Going into today’s matches, Police Bullets sit at the top of the WPL table with 40 points, two more than second-placed Ulinzi Starlets, while Trinity Starlets occupy third position with 34 points.

At the bottom of the table are Kisumu Allstarlets with -7 points. The lakeside outfit were deducted nine points after issuing three walkovers and, with only two points earned throughout the season, they now sit at -7.

The League and Competitions Committee is also expected to relegate them to the second tier for issuing three walkovers.

All-Starlets are joined in the relegation zone by neighbours Kisped Queens with -2 points, while Gideon Starlets, with 17 points, complete a Nyanza-dominated relegation battle.

Gideon Starlets vs Kenya Police Bullets

Gideon Starlets will host Kenya Police Bullets at Mawegi National Polytechnic in Homa Bay from 1300 hrs.

Both teams will be seeking three points, but with contrasting motivations. Gideon are determined to boost their survival chances, while Police aim to extend their lead at the top in pursuit of a third consecutive league title.

Police head into the match in excellent form, having won their last eight matches, including two walkovers.

Gideon, on the other hand, have struggled in their maiden season but have shown some improvement, winning two, drawing one, and losing two of their last five matches.

Trinity Starlets vs Ulinzi Starlets

At Comboni Polytechnic in Gilgil, there will be a crucial title race clash as third-placed Trinity Starlets host second-placed Ulinzi Starlets from 1300 hrs.

Both teams will be aiming for maximum points to either close the gap on Police or maintain pressure as the league enters its homestretch.

With both sides in good form, including recent victories, the match is expected to be high-octane and could have a significant impact on the title race.
