The two sides met in an FKF Women's Premier League match that took place on Saturday, 11 October at the Police Sacco Stadium in South C.

The Law Enforcers parted ways with head coach Beldine Odemba before the start of the league campaign after the Harambee Starlets tactician failed to guide the team to the CAF Women's Champions League, with Vijago appointed as her replacement.

The former Kibera Soccer Women tactician guided the team to a 2-1 victory over Kayole Starlets in their season opener and once again made early steps to help Police retain their league title.

Despite their strong start to the game that saw them dominate play and create several chances through Margaret Kunihira and Emily Moranga that went begging, Police had to wait for the 36th minute for their breakthrough which came courtesy of Vidah Okeyo.

Buoyed by the goal, Police intensified their attacks and got their reward in the 40th minute when Puren Alukwe doubled their lead before the halftime break.

In the second half, the Vijago-coached side lowered their intensity, opting to protect their lead but still found a way to score a third through Harambee Starlets midfielder Diana Wacera, who had been impressive throughout the afternoon.

Vihiga Queens 3-1 Kibera Soccer Women

At the Moi Stadium in Kisumu, league giants Vihiga Queens also continued with their 100% record courtesy of a 3-1 victory over reigning FKF Cup champions Kibera Soccer Women.

Airin Madalina gave the hosts the lead before Faith Mboya equalised for Kibera Soccer, but Martha Amunyolette was there to ensure Vihiga head to the break with a lead.

In the second half, Madalina made it a comfortable win for Vihiga with her brace, which helped the team maintain their spot at the summit of the log.

Trinity Starlets 3-1 Bungoma Queens

Trinity Starlets also secured a second consecutive victory with a 3-1 win over Bungoma Queens in a match played at the Combani Polytechnic grounds in Gilgil.

Trinity found the back of the net through Emily Wanjala, Eglay Mukwana and Rabecca Misango, while Bungoma’s consolation was courtesy of Belinda Barasa.

Gideon Starlets 2-3 Kayole Starlets

In the other match of the day, Kayole Starlets left it late to record their first-ever win in the top flight, drowning fellow newbies Gideon Starlets 3-2 in a match played at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Homa Bay.

Lindah Kihara gave Kayole an early lead in the sixth minute before Gideon equalised in the 41st minute before the half-time whistle blew.

Gideon then took the lead in the 78th minute, but it only lasted a minute as Ashley Shilwatso drew Kayole Starlets level in the 79th minute.

With the game headed for a draw, Shilwatso proved to be the heroine of the day, scoring in the 91st minute to give Kayole a much valuable win.
