When the name Bellingham is mentioned, it brings to mind both football and controversy — this time, Jobe Bellingham is being linked with Manchester United and Crystal Palace

Manchester United are reportedly among several Premier League sides keeping tabs on Jobe Bellingham — the younger brother of Real Madrid superstar Jude.

At just 20, Jobe made headlines in the summer when he swapped Sunderland for Borussia Dortmund, mirroring his brother’s career path. However, according to Bild, his next move might already take him back to England.

After a bright start to life in Germany, featuring in the opening two league matches, the midfielder has since found himself sidelined under Niko Kovac. Over the last four Bundesliga fixtures, he’s managed only 74 minutes — a drastic change from his central role at Sunderland last season.

Tensions reportedly surfaced early in the campaign. Following Jobe’s substitution at half-time in Dortmund’s season opener against St. Pauli, his father, Mark Bellingham, allegedly confronted club officials in the dressing room. The fallout from that incident led to all players’ families being barred from entering the dressing area at Signal Iduna Park.

Off the pitch, the young talent has also faced personal challenges, with reports surfacing this week that his parents, Mark and Denise Bellingham, have separated after more than two decades together.

For Manchester United, Bellingham represents both a risk and an opportunity. The Red Devils have struggled for balance in midfield under Ruben Amorim, and the English youngster’s energy and potential could offer a timely boost. Yet, if limited playing time is his main concern in Dortmund, Old Trafford may not be the most forgiving destination — as the case of teenage prospect Kobbie Mainoo has already shown.

Dortmund paid 27 million pounds for Bellingham just a few months ago, meaning any English suitor will likely have to match that valuation. Alongside United, Crystal Palace are also credited with interest. The Eagles, who initially pursued him during his Sunderland days, are flying high this season — currently sitting sixth in the table and above United despite juggling European commitments.

Should Bellingham make the switch to Selhurst Park, he could form an exciting young partnership with Adam Wharton — or, alternatively, pave the way for Wharton’s own potential move to Old Trafford.
