The Nairobi-based outfit booked the third of the three available slots to secure second-tier football through promotion playoff on their first time of asking last season.
Nairobi United head coach Paul Okatwa has expressed readiness to take the newly promoted National Super League (NSL) side to greater heights.

Okatwa, who led the team to the historic elevation at the Rift Valley Institute of Science and Technology Grounds, Nakuru, then embarked on assembling a new team that he felt would be in a position to compete at a higher level than the previous one.
According to the coach, the process has been smooth, and the club management has been supportive to the core in the recruitment drive.
"We are working under good conditions, which has enabled us to prepare very well for the upcoming season," Okatwa told Mozzart Sport. "I know we are newbies in the NSL, so first thing we want to try and be a good position to compete and try get the elevation at the end of the season."
"We are going to work as hard as we can to see how far we can go. Any team can be crowned Champion, if you win more games and collect more points than others, you can win the trophy. We want to try to win every game. We can win the championship," stated the former Gor Mahia forward.
On the new transfers, the youthful expert said, "Each player we have now was selected on merit. We have brought in players who are competitive, they have all been playing, and as starters where they have been."
The Naiboi's have been engaged in high-profile friendlies in preparation for the season set to start on the weekend and as per the coach's assessment, he is confident that his players are doing better than previously and are ready for the league regarded as the toughest in the country.
"They're eager to learn and win. I have seen a lot of improvement in them since the first day. The players love the team and they love what they're doing and that will make our job easier."
Nairobi United start their life in the second tier against the league's veterans Kibera Black Stars this week on Saturday,16, September.
Unlike Nairobi United, Kibera Black Stars have been in the second tier for a long acquiring the needed experience to survive the turbulence of the toughest tier in Kenya.
