Ulinzi found the back of the net courtesy of Rising Starlets forward Elizabeth Mideva's first-half hat-trick.
Harambee Starlets forward Airin Madalina netted the consolation goal for the visitors.
Speaking to the press after the match, Nyamunyamu blasted his charges for having low ambitions in the match.
“In this match, we came to participate and not compete due to the injuries that we have as a team.
We equally did not play according to instructions and so we will just have to retreat, give our best in training, and correct the mistakes that we made,” he said.
With Vihiga finding it difficult to keep up with the title race, Nyamunyamu opened up on the cause of their tribulations.
“Our troubles emanate from losing some key players over the past two seasons. We are doing our best to fill in the gaps, but the players are yet to gel,” he noted.
Some of the players who have left Vihiga include: midfielder Diana Wacera, Euphrasier Shilwatso and Christine Adhiambo.
His Ulinzi counterpart, Collins Ochieng, on his part, credited the work put in by his team on the training ground for their impressive performance this season.
“The secret to our performance this season has been preparation. We prepare thoroughly and take each game with the seriousness it deserves. One game at a time,” said Ochieng.
Ulinzi are currently second on the log with 44 points, two shy of league leaders Police Bullets, while Vihiga Queens are fourth with 30 points.
