Watching Arsenal is like watching Netflix...

Reading Time: 2min | Wed. 30.10.24. | 10:07

"You always have to wait for next season," Patrice Evra concludes

Two seasons ago, they ended up as runners-up, in the last campaign also. And some Arsenal fans are not optimistic that things will improve this time.

A little over a month ago, Mikel Arteta's team was seconds away from a victory against Manchester City, last weekend against Liverpool, too, but both of those games ended in a draw and the Gunners are at the back of both. That's why some former Premier League stars and pundits are openly joking when talking about the Londoners. Just take former Manchester United full-back Patrice Evra as an example...

The Frenchman was a guest on Rio Ferdinand's podcast last night. When an Arsenal fan joined the conversation, he reminded Evra that he had previously said that Arsenal was United's younger brother, adding that the situation has now changed.

Evra didn't hold back...

"It's fine if you want to compare them [Arsenal] with United, but I constantly tell my friends who are Arsenal supporters that watching Arsenal is like watching Netflix. You always have to wait for the next season and trust me, every season will be the same. So, don't give me those comparisons between Manchester United and Arsenal. Sure, United are terrible at the moment, but please don't talk about Arsenal, because what - now you're going to cry because of the referee?" Evra added some salt to the wounds of Arsenal fans, while Rio burst into laughter.

Arsenal fans probably weren't up for a laugh.
