Vihiga shifted the match to Nyang'ori following the demolition of Moi Stadium, Kisumu, for upgrading and the unavailability of Mamboleo Stadium.

Vihiga went into the match having dropped points in their two previous outings against Bungoma Queens and Kibera Soccer Women, respectively.

Kisped, on the other hand, have had a torrid season that has seen them collect a paltry four points, including one win after 13 rounds of matches.

Goals from Providence Mukalo and Anitah Namata were all that the Boniface Nyamunyamu-coached side needed to return to winning ways.

With the win, Vihiga have now moved up to second on the log with 29 points, leapfrogging Ulinzi, who have an equal number of points but possess an inferior goal difference.

Trinity Starlets vs Kibera Soccer Women

At the Comboni Polytechnic, Trinity Starlets were held to a barren draw by Kibera Soccer Women.

Trinity went into the match on a winless run in the second leg, having been held to a draw by Kisumu All Starlets and suffering a 1-0 defeat to Bungoma Queens in their last two matches.

Kibera Soccer, on the other hand, were on an upward trajectory, having begun the season poorly, which saw them occupy the relegation zone several times this campaign.

Trinity pushed for an early goal in the match, as has been the case in their home matches this season, but Kibera stood tall to thwart any danger.

Kibera conjured two chances in the first half to take the lead, but Anna Arusi and Anney Matinde could not bury any of their efforts.

The match’s tempo dropped in the second half, as the heat was having a toll on the players and in the end, both teams settled for a share of the spoils.

Despite the result, Trinity remain fourth with 25 points while Kibera are seventh with 19 points to their name.
