Vardy throws a party: Double jubilee for Foxes' legend

On the same day he signed for Leicester City 13 years ago, Jamie Vardy made his 500th appearance and scored his 200th goal!

May 18 will forever remain etched in Jamie Vardy's memory. On that day in 2012, he moved from Fleetwood Town to Leicester City, not having a clue that he'd win the Premier League with the Foxes and become one of their greatest legends.

On the same day, 13 years later, Vardy was in the lineup against Ipswich Town at King Power Stadium, making his jubilee 500th appearance in Leicester's jersey. At that point, his scoring tally with the Foxes was 199. Still, Vardy's nothing if not a practical man who wouldn't miss a chance to celebrate two jubilees in one game.

Only 28 minutes into the clash against the Tractor Boys, the merciless net-buster scored his 200th goal at Leicester in his penultimate game with the club.

Given that he announced he'd leave King Power Stadium at the end of the season, reaching the numbers he reached today must mean a lot to him.

In the end, he'll depart his beloved Leicester as the club's all-time leading scorer and the third most-capped player. It has to be much more than he expected 13 years ago, on May 18 - the date he'll never forget.
