We're in for some thrilling clashes in the next stage of the Champions League

The UEFA Champions League play-off duels are over, and now it's time for some real fireworks. And several Round-of-16 matches will bring exactly that - passion, excitement, and fantastic football.

First and foremost, in the clash of the titans, Real Madrid and Manchester City will lock horns! This will be the fifth year in a row that the two giants face each other in the UCL knockout stage!

In the 2022 semi-finals, Los Blancos triumphed, while a year later in the same stage of competition, the Cityzens emerged victorious. In the 2024 quarter-finals, Madrid won on penalties, and in the previous campaign, they brushed City aside in the Round of 16.

In the current edition, they met in the sixth round of the league phase, with the Cityzens conquering Santiago Bernabeu 2-1.

The other derby will be played in Paris and London, as PSG and Chelsea will clash in the replay of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup grand final played last July, in which the Blues dismantled Luis Enrique's team 3-0.

The two league-phase leaders, Arsenal and Bayern Munich, will face Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta, respectively, while the most pleasant surprise of the current campaign, Norwegian Bodo/Glimt, will play Sporting Lisbon.

Finally, the remaining three Premier League sides, Newcastle, Liverpool, and Tottenham, are in for tough challenges. The Magpies face mighty Barcelona, the Reds take on Victor Osimhen and his Galatasaray, while the Spurs are about to lock horns with Atletico Madrid.

The first legs of the UCL Round of 16 are scheduled for 10th and 11th March, with the return legs set to be played a week later.
