Two Martinezes in Milan - Inter calling Emi

Last July, the Aston Villa keeper's move to Man United fell through. Next July, he'll allegedly have a chance to make a second exit attempt, this time to Inter
Six months ago, the former Arsenal and current Aston Villa custodian, Emiliano Martinez, was on the verge of joining Manchester United as a replacement for Andre Onana. However, the deal eventually fell through, and the Red Devils opted for a young keeper, Senne Lammens, while the Argentinian stayed at Villa Park.
However, according to the Italian transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, the 33-year-old will have a chance for a second attempt to leave the Birmingham side, and this time move to Inter Milan.
🚨 Inter have begun exploring the conditions of a summer move for Aston Villa goalkeeper Emiliano MartÃnez.

To make the move happen the Argentina international would have to accept a significant wage cut to sign next summer.

The Nerazzurri aren't dissatisfied with Yann Sommer, whose stint at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza will remain memorable. After all, if it weren't for the Swiss, Inter would have never knocked out Barcelona in last season's Champions League semi-finals. The problem is, Sommer has recently turned 37.
Hence, bringing a replacement is mandatory, and should the Serie A side opt for an experienced goalie, Martinez will be one of the first options, as Di Marzio claims that Inter's representatives have already spoken to Emi's entourage.
On the other hand, if he decides to move to Italy, the creator of one of the most memorable saves in football history - the one in the 2022 World Cup final after Randal Kolo Muani's shot - would have to accept a salary reduction.
In the end, everything's still open, and even though July seems far, six months will fly by, and the new transfer window will start. So, why wouldn't Inter plan ahead?
