Tusker’s Tanzanian import relishes first successful season in Kenya after bagging two titles

Tusker FC forward Ibrahim Joshua has expressed his delight over how his first season in the top-flight Football Kenya Federation Premier League turned out after closing the campaign with two silverware to his name.

Signed from Tanzanian outfit Ken Gold FC back in August 2021 before the start of the just concluded 2021/2022 season, Joshua, who joined the Brewers alongside his international compatriot Kalos Protus Kirenge, finished the season as the winner of the 21/22 Premier League title and the Football Kenya Federation Super Cup played at the start of the season.

Making his maiden appearance in a foreign league, the Tanzanian import was pleased with the successes he managed to achieve at the first time of asking

“I am really happy to win the top award which is the league title in my very first season in Kenya. I am very grateful for this achievement because it was one of my targets when I joined Tusker. It was a very hard season for sure but in the end we managed to get over the line,” the player told Mozzart Sport.

Additionally, the player finished the season as the club’s top scorer banging in 11 goals as he helped his side successfully defend their title that made them the second most decorated club in terms of league titles in the country, moving to 13 crowns, one ahead of AFC Leopard and six behind record Kenyan champions Gor Mahia.

“I would love to thank my teammates for helping me achieve that feat. Without them, it would not be possible so credit to them,” the player added.
