The two sides are set to meet on Friday, 3 April from 1615hrs, in what is expected to be a high octane clash.

Tusker have had a fairly good run since the appointment of French tactician Julien Mette, winning four of their past six matches, with three of those wins coming in the league.

However, The Brewers suffered a 1-0 defeat to Kenyan giants AFC Leopards in their last league match, prompting the message from Odhiambo.

“We cannot afford to get comfortable or carried away. Yes, we have picked up three or four wins, but that does not mean we should ease off. We have to keep working, keep fighting, and give our best in every game until the very last match of the season,” said Odhiambo.

The tough-tackling fullback has been a mainstay in the team, and is equally expected to start against Police, a match he is confident of walking from with the maximum points.

“We have had two good weeks to prepare and address our mistakes. Everyone is ready, everyone is focused, and we are determined to get the win,” he said.

Odhiambo also opened up on the mood in the camp since the arrival of Mette, noting that the team is now focused on finishing the league strongly, as well as clinching the prestigious Mozzart Bet Cup.

“There is a renewed sense of happiness in the team and everything is coming together well. We lacked that before, but now the bond is back, and it is showing on the pitch.

That will be crucial as we aim to finish the league strongly and also compete for the FKF Mozzart Bet Cup, where we have a real chance. We cannot afford to go another season without a trophy,” he added.
