Even though Man United got rid of the majority of unwanted players, three of them "survived" the squad clear-out. We'll see for how long

Thanks to the furious transfer window, Man United are the fifth biggest spenders in Europe, as they splurged €251 million on reinforcements. And the fans can be satisfied. After all, Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo are elite players and will undoubtedly be valuable assets for Ruben Amorim's team.

During Deadline Day, the Red Devils weren't too active, but brought a player they desperately needed - a new custodian.

The 23-year-old Senne Lammers arrived from the Belgian Royal Antwerp for €21 million, and is expected to become Amorim's first choice soon.

Consequently, Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir have permission to leave. The transfer window is closed in most leagues, but the markets in Turkey and Saudi Arabia are still open and will remain so until September 10 and September 12, respectively.

And while the Turk is expected to return to his homeland, the Cameroonian's only option could be the Middle East country, as he'd already been on Neom's radar. West Ham and Monaco were also interested in Onana, but those moves are now impossible before January.

The third player near Old Trafford's exit door is Tyrell Malacia, who hasn't been in Amorim's plans after returning from the five-month loan at PSV Eindhoven. Still, the Dutchman's future destination is vague.

Hence, after getting rid of four "liabilities" Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho, United's squad clear-out could be completed with eventual departures of Malacia, Bayindir, and Onana.
