Tormenta had lost three back to back matches prior to Sunday's win

Kenyan midfielder Tobias Otieno featured full minutes for the first time as his side Tormenta FC bounced back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Central Valley Fuego in a USL League One match on Sunday morning.

The former Gor Mahia midfielder was instrumental in the match, and was involved to get the game rolling as he set up on form Kazaiah Sterling for the first goal 26 minutes in the game.

Prior to the Sunday match, Otieno was yet to play the full length of a league match although he had made 9 appearances, starting in six but being withdrawn later, and coming on in three.

For the opening goal, the Kenyan picked the ball near the halfway mark on the opponent's side and drove through the set before freeing Sterling with an inch-perfect through pass, and the 23-year-old made no mistake.

Eight minutes after the break, Sterling struck again to double Tormenta's lead and complete his brace and they went on to hold on to the lead to the last minute.

Tormenta had lost back to back matches to Northern Colorado Hailstorm, Charlotte Independence, and Chattanooga Red Wolves which saw them drop down the standings.

With the win, they are now seventh on the log with 30 points and play play Charlotte Independence on Thursday.
