To BVB or not to BVB: Sancho's last chance at the only place where he shone

Borussia Dortmund reportedly want to bring the Englishman for the third time and help him get back on track the way they did in the previous two occasions
Looking back at Jadon Sancho's career, it's hard not to feel sadness, as the Englishman could have achieved much more than he did. Yes, he is still young, only 25, but the following season could be his last chance to get back on track, as odd as it may sound.
And if the information from England is true, that chance will be the one that hasn't failed him yet.
Namely, according to The Times, Borussia Dortmund are keen on bringing Sancho in for the third time and helping him revive his career, as they did on the previous two occasions.
🚨 Borussia Dortmund believe they can persuade Manchester United's Jadon Sancho to sign for a third spell at the Bundesliga club.

He'll be available on a free transfer so the financial risk will come in the wage that Sancho asks for.

The forward first joined the BVB in 2017 as a 17-year-old, written off by Manchester City. The BVB paid him over €20 million and did not regret it, as they sold him to Manchester United four years later for €85 million.
Yet it turned out to be just the beginning of Sancho's struggles, practically anywhere except Dortmund.
His first two and a half years at Old Trafford were subpar, and the only period where he resembled his old self was a six-month loan at Signal Iduna Park in 2024, when he helped Dortmund reach the Champions League final.
He kept returning to the Theatre of Dreams, and United kept loaning him out to Chelsea and, most recently, to Aston Villa, where he currently plays, though far from the expected level.
Sancho's contract with the Red Devils expires in three months, and they would be more than pleased to get rid of him, while he could return to the only place where he shone.
In 158 games with Borussia, he recorded 53 goals and 67 assists - several times more than at United, Chelsea, and Villa combined in fewer appearances.
The Times claims that Dortmund boss Niko Kovac agreed to bring Sancho because he perfectly fits the strategist's tactical concept. However, the player will need to accept a significant pay cut from his current weekly salary of £300,000.
In the end, the choice before Sancho seems crystal clear: give up on the money, grab the lifeline the BVB offers, and get the career back on track, or keep wandering through the Premier League with little chance to shine again.
The colour yellow seems destined for him. The only question is whether he is aware of that.
