The night Antonio Conte would gladly forget

Their closest rival, Inter Milan, netted in the added time. And then, the Neapolitans themselves conceded in their game against Roma for a draw

Seconds before the end of the AC Milan vs Inter derby, Antonio Conte must have been delighted. His closest rivals, Internazionale, were on the verge of a loss, which could have potentially pushed Conte's Napoli to a six-point lead by the end of the day.

Alas, he'll wake up on Monday with just three points above the Nerazzurri.

First, De Vrij secured his team with an important draw in the dying moments of the Derby della Madonnina (1-1), and then almost the same thing happened to the Partenopei against Roma at the Stadio Olimpico. Antonio Conte's men conceded in the injury time, as the crucial victory slipped through their fingers after being in front for more than an hour.

The visitors got in front through former Giallorossi player, Spinazzola, who scored a lovely opener around the 30th-minute mark.

It seemed like Conte will pull off his trademark second-half 'stability', hanging onto that 1-0 lead, mostly thanks to his solid defence and impeccable Zambo Anguissa and McTominay in midfield. Things were going their way until those final minutes, when Saelemaekers crossed it to Angelino, whose mouth-watering shot ended in the far corner for a thrilling draw.

We've got our Serie A two-horse title race back.
