The most Scottish thing ever? Just a booking for a horrendous tackle

There's no place for sweethearts in the Premiership

There's probably no place on planet Earth where football is such a physical game as in good old Scotland. You ought to be twice as brave to stay above the surface once you face those 'butchers' that are not on the verge of extinction like in most European football leagues.

ASTON VILLA - LEICESTER

In Scotland, they are still praised for sliding on the grass until their knees start to bleed and for their awful tackles that seldom end up with the broken legs of the opponents.

And they usually get away with it.

Just like Dundee United midfielder Callum Butcher (huh, it's all written in the name) did today, in the fixture against the favourites Celtic. He came in ten minutes into the second half and then launched a horrible, awful tackle on Celtic counterpart David Turnbull.

And although he deserved an immediate red card, he was only booked for it. A yellow card for this, really?!

Nevertheless, his Dundee Utd were swept off by the visitors, 3-0.
