Camavinga, Bellingham and Musiala are among potential winners
So far, it has not happened that a football player has been declared the best young player of the year twice in a row, so it is hard to believe that Barcelona's Pedri will defend the Golden Color trophy won in 2021. Especially considering the results of the Catalans. Nevertheless, the brilliant central midfielder found himself on Tutosport's shortlist and in the selection for this year. Besides him, there are 19 other names.

The Italian newspaper, the creator of this recognition, published a list of 20 candidates, and the ceremony during which the winner will be announced is scheduled for November 7 in Turin. The initial list included 100 footballers under the age of 21, and the shortened list included four Italians (Scalvini, Udoji, Miretti, Njonto) and Spaniards (Gavi, Pedri, Fati, Nico), three Portuguese (Mendes, Carvalho, Silva ), two Frenchmen each (Kamavinga, Tel) and Germans (Musiala, Adejemi) and one Slovenian (Sesko), Pole (Zalewski), Englishman (Bellingham), Dutchman (Gravenberch) and Croatian (Guardiol).
Most of them are from Barcelona and Bayern, three each, two from Borussia Dortmund, and one each from Valencia, Paris Saint-Germain, Atalanta, Salzburg, Udinese (on loan until the end of the season from Tottenham), Roma, Juventus, Benfica, Real Madrid, Liverpool, Leeds, and RB Leipzig.
In terms of team performance, but also personal issues, the first candidate for victory this year is Eduardo Camavinga, champion of Spain and Europe with Real Madrid. His main competitors are Jude Bellingham from Dortmund and Jamal Musiala, who are shining this season in the Bundesliga. The Englishman became the first teenager to score a goal in each of the first four rounds of the Champions League group stage, while Musiala has five goals and assists in eight Bundesliga matches, and in total this season he has collected seven goals and eight assists in 13 appearances for the Bavarians.
