Reading Time: 3min | Tue. 11.10.22. | 16:16
Ademola Lookman and Terem Moffi made their presence very visible for the weekend. It was the matchday packed with African scorers
Goalkeeper
ANDRE ONANA (Inter/Cameroon)
The 26-year-old Cameroonian shot-stopper was one of the crucial men in Inter's critical 2-1 away win at Sassuolo after a couple of disappointing results. Onana's consistency has made him Simone Inzaghi's first choice ahead of more experienced Samir Handanovic.
Defence
EDMOND TAPSOBA (Bayer Leverkusen/Burkina Faso)
It was a splendid performance of the Burkinabe centre-back in the 4-0 trashing of Schalke 04 in Xabi Alonso's maiden game in Leverkusen's dugout. His heatmap - embellished with nothing but red on the left - tells a story of its own.

MOUCTAR DIAKHABY (Valencia/Guinea)
Albeit defender, Diakhaby netted for his Valencia in an important 2-1 away win at Osasuna. He finished nicely when a loose ball fell to him. However, after he was substituted while sitting on the bench, the ref showed him a second yellow for protesting, which enraged coach Gennaro Gattuso.
RAMY BENSEBAINI (M'gladbach/Algeria)
Moenchengladbach's Algerian defender scored twice as they thrashed ten-man Cologne 5-2. Bensebaini hit it from the spot after 45 minutes and gave his side a commanding 4-1 lead in the 76th minute.
Midfield
RIYAD MAHREZ (Manchester City/Algeria)
The immaculate winger scored his second goal in successive games as the Premier League champions crushed Southampton 4-0. City were already two goals up when Mahrez netted in the 49th minute with a left-footed volley from a tight angle.
ALEX IWOBI (Everton/Nigeria)
Nigerian Alex Iwobi scored a superb goal at the weekend against Manchester United. The midfielder struck after just five minutes, curling a shot past David De Gea from outside the box.

PATSON DAKA (Leicester/Zambia)
Daka's third goal of the season couldn't prevent Leicester from losing 2-1 at Bournemouth. In the 10th minute, Youri Tielemans crossed and after Harvey Barnes' initial effort was blocked, Daka nailed it for the Foxes.
Attack
EL BILAL TOURE (Almeria/Mali)
Toure netted his first goal of LaLiga season in a 3-1 win against Rayo Vallecano to help his team reach their second victory. He reacted marvellously from a close range when the ball dropped to him in the box.

BOULAYE DIA (Salernitana/Senegal)
Dia struck his fourth goal since moving to Salernitana on loan from Villarreal to claim a stoppage-time 2-1 win over Verona. His winner sparked a wild celebration and an on-pitch brawl afterwards.

TEREM MOFFI (Lorient/Nigeria)
The Nigerian forward grabbed both goals as Lorient came from behind to win 2-1 at Brest and climb to within a point of leaders Paris Saint-Germain. The 23-year-old has already matched his tally from last season and sits alongside Kylian Mbappe and Neymar atop the Ligue 1 scoring charts with eight.
