This means the Red Devils will have to play three matches in just five days

Manchester United’s postponed fixture against Liverpool will be played on Thursday, May 13, the Premier League has announced.

The match, originally scheduled to be played on Sunday, May 2, was postponed after a few hundred fans broke into Old Trafford to protest against the Glazer family’s ownership of the club.

A large group of fans broke into Old Trafford, accessing the players’ tunnel, which meant a deep clean would have been required due to Covid regulations for the match to go ahead.

This means Red Devils have to play three Premier League matches in just five days. United travel to Aston Villa on Sunday, May 9 and then host Leicester on Tuesday, May 11.

They then host Liverpool two days later in the rescheduled fixture between the two sides.
