Were reached the century milestone after scoring a hatrick against Kitwe United
Before he went to conquer Zambia, Jesse Were tried conquering the Kenyan Premier League with Tusker FC and Mathare United. In July 2015, he went on a scoring spree, netting three consecutive hattricks against Chemelil Sugar, Sofaka, and Thika United.
In fact, he was en route to matching the world record on consecutive hattricks as he was only one shy of the record holder, Japan's Nakayama Masashi. Mark you, he was tied at three with Christiano Ronaldo.
When Zesco played Kitwe United on Sunday, he scored a hattrick to add to his already existing 97 goals for Zesco and make it 100. What a way to hit a century! Indeed, Were is not a stranger when it comes to hattricks.
