The Kenyan trio at Tanzania’s Singida Fountain Gate Football Club will now be coached by former Kaizer Chiefs German tactician Ernst Middendorp.
Singida is currently home to Duke Abuya, Joash Onyango, and Elvis Rupia who joined them recently.
Middendorp was unveiled as the club's new coach following the exit of Dutch manager Hans van der Pluijm last week.
Hans had guided Singida to a top-four finish in their maiden topflight campaign behind Azam, Simba, and Yanga and consequently, the club qualified for the CAF Confederation Cup.
In the continental stage, he helped the club progress to the second round of the continental tournament courtesy of the 6-1 win on aggregate against JKU in the preliminary round.
In Middendorp, the Singida have acquired the services of a coach with a wealth of experience, having coached a number of clubs, both in Europe and Africa, including South African giants Kaizer Chiefs where they fell short of clinching the title in the 2019/20 season.
Middendorp will be assisted by coach Thabo Senong who is no stranger to African football.
The 42-year-old assistant, who is one of South Africa’s most highly rated coaches, led the South African U-20 side to two COSAFA Cup titles, two U-20 Africa Cup of Nations, and two FIFA U-20 World Cups.
Senong also served as the assistant coach to Ephraim Mashaba and Stuart Baxter at Bafana Bafana.
In addition to Senong, Middendorp will be joined by biokineticist Kelvin Ndlomo who has previously worked with Bafana Bafana along with the services of goalkeeper coach, Thembalethu Moses who is no stranger to Tanzanian football, having spent a season with Simba SC.
Following the arrival of Middendorp, the club let go of Mathias Lulle who had taken over as the interim coach after the exit of Hans
