Tanzanian Premier League side courting FC Talanta winger December Kisaka

FC Talanta could lose their skillful winger December Kisaka Mwakio at the end of the season to Tanzanian Premier League side Coastal Union.

Kisaka, who is in his second season in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League, has been a joy to watch thanks to his deft left touch.

Sources close to the winger indicate that Coastal Union head coach David Ouma has reached out to Talanta twice an indication that the player is in plans for the new season.

A member of the Talanta’s technical bench, who sought anonymity also, confided to Mozzart Sport that indeed Ouma had expressed interest in signing Kisaka but an offer was yet to be made.

Ouma, who crossed the border last year after parting ways with Sofapaka, is understood to have kept close tabs on the winger and considers him a top priority heading to the new season.

The outspoken gaffer joined the club on a two-year-long deal.

The former Harambee Starlets coach is basking in glory after helping Coastal Union punch a ticket to the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Tanga-based club finished fourth in the Tanzanian league securing a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup alongside Simba SC who finished third.

Coastal Union last played continental football in 1988, a year they won the Tanzanian league.

Meanwhile, Talanta risks losing another player in Leon Ombiji who has been linked with a move to record league champions Gor Mahia.

The towering Ombiji joined Talanta last year from a lower-tier club based in Budalang’i. Initially, he played as a midfielder but was later remolded to a central defender.
