Sven is expected to bolster Gallants' squad that will be playing in the 2022/2022 CAF Confederation Cup

Immediate former Nairobi City Stars midfielder Sven Yidah has officially been unveiled at South African top flight side Marumo Gallants.

In a social media post on Friday evening, the Polokwane based club finally welcomed the 23 year old Harambee Stars international who has also featured for Kariobangi Sharks and Ligi Ndogo in the local league before his latest move.

“Marumo Gallants would like to welcome the 23 year old Kenyan international Sven Yidah, a former Nairobi City Stars holding midfielder and current Kenyan national squad player. We would like to wish him the best,” the club posted.

Yidah’s unveiling would have come as early as July but Mozzart Sport exclusively revealed that paperwork issues derailed his debut for the club.

In his absence, Gallants started their Premier Soccer League campaign with three draws against Stellenbosch, Richards Bay and Golden Arrows in games where the Kenyan International had to watch from the stands as he waited to get his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and work permit.

Sven has already featured in a number of pre-season games including one against Kaizer Chiefs which was home to fellow Kenyan international Anthony Akumu who was released in July.

Sven is expected to bolster their squad that is preparing for a grueling season after qualifying for the CAF Confederation Cup where they are set to face the winner between PWD Bamenda and Elgeco Plus.
