Ulinzi scored only 19 goals last season

Ulinzi Stars have officially incorporated the pair of Boniface Muchiri and Hillary Simiyu to the team in their preseason preparations ahead of the new FKF Premier League season that kicks off next month.

The duo recently finished their military training, and while Muchiri is joining the team afresh, Simiyu reunited with the Soldiers having featured in the opening games for the 2010 champions last season before leaving for training.

Ulinzi Stars struggled in front of goal last season, managing to score a paltry 19 goals in 31 matches as they went through a tough season where they finished 13th on the log.

The inclusion of the two to the team will come in handy to rectify that aspect of the team given their individual contributions in front of goal for their respective former employers, something that Ulinzi Stars' technical bench will be hoping the two can replicate efficiently.

OFFICIAL: Boniface Muchiri ditches Tusker

Before joining the Soldiers, Simiyu was Nzoia Sugar's top scorer during the 2020/2021 FKF Premier League campaign, scoring eight goals to help the Millers survive relegation narrowly then.

Muchiri, who started at Nzoia Sugar before moving to the now defunct Sony Sugar. In June 2017 he joined Tusker and won the 2020/21 league title with the Brewers.

During his time at the Brewers camp, he turned out for the Kenya U23 and the senior national team, Harambee Stars.
