OFFICIAL: Boniface Muchiri ditches Tusker

Muchiri has decided to join the Kenyan military and will play for Ulinzi Stars after training.
Tusker FC winger Boniface Muchiri is set to quit the club to join the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF), Mozzart Sport can report.
Muchiri, who has been a key player for the Brewers since 2017 has been a target for military-backed Ulinzi Stars for the last couple of months and it now appears that they will finally have their man after he accepted an offer to join the military and later turn out for the team.
Today is Boniface Muchiri's final game as a Tusker FC player as he prepares for a career switch.

A source within the Brewers camp has confirmed that indeed the player is outbound and that the match against Sofapaka on Sunday afternoon at the Ruaraka Grounds is his last in Tusker FC colors.
"Although he has not told us formally, we understand that he has accepted to join the military and the match against Sofapaka is his last. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours," the source told Mozzart Sport.
Muchiri, who started at Nzoia Sugar before moving to the now defunct Sony Sugar. In June 2017 he joined Tusker and won the 2020/21 league title with the Brewers.

During his time at the Brewers camp, he turned out for the Kenya U23 and the senior national team, Harambee Stars.
On Sunday before the Sofapaka game, the forward who could not hide his emotions was handed a jersey signed by his teammates and staff. The jersey was issued to the player by coach Robert Matano.
