In Norway, Scriven played for 90 minutes as FK Bryne lost 3-1 to Tromso

Harambee Stars defender Collins Sichenje was in action as his side, Vojvodina, made a winning start to their Mozzart Bet Super Liga campaign, beating Radnik 2-0 at Stadion Karađorđe in Novi Sad.

The 21-year-old, who is now in his second season with the Serbian top-flight side, played for the full 90 minutes, ensuring his team bagged a clean sheet and an important win to open the season.

The hosts got themselves to the lead in the fifth minute through Nigerian striker Dele before adding to their advantage 12 minutes after the break via Aleksa Vukanovic.

The 33-year-old forward, however, took two quick yellow cards in the 67th and 69th minutes to leave Vojvodina a man down, but that did not affect the scoreline.

The win for Vojvodina places them second on the table behind defending champions Crvena Zvezda.

Elsewhere in Norway, Harambee Stars striker Alfred Scriven featured in FK Bryne’s 3-1 loss to Tromso at the Romssa Arena.

The 27-year-old, who scored in his last league appearance against Valerenga last weekend, played for 90 minutes but was not on the score sheet.

Bryne’s only goal came through Duarte Moreira but was not enough to give them their sixth win of the season.

The side is placed 12th on the 16-team log with 18 points.

Meanwhile, in France, Harambee Stars vice-captain Joseph Okumu played for 60 minutes as Reims lost 1-0 to Belgian side Leuven in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.

The loss was Reims’ first in the pre-season, even as they prepare themselves for their first season in the French second tier.
