Kenyan striker Moses Shumah started and played the full 90 minutes as his Zambian club, Power Dynamos, were held to a one-all draw by Kabwe Warriors at home on Saturday.
The first half witnessed a lot of chances for both teams, but somehow the opening stanza ended goalless. The second half was more entertaining, with both teams finding the back of the net.
Power went ahead in the 65th minute through Samuel Bamidele, who converted from the spot after Issa Kazembe brought down substitute Ronel Manyanga in the penalty area. The lead lasted just seven minutes before Francis Banda drew the visitors level to ensure a share of the spoils.
Arrows lead the log with 31 points, while Dynamos, who have a game in hand, trail them by five points.
In England, Vincent Harper featured for the entire match as his club, Walsall, were held to a one-all draw by visiting Shrewsbury. Daniel Kanu put the home side ahead in the third minute before the visitors earned a point courtesy of a Tom Anderson strike in the 65th minute.
Still in England, Clarke Oduor was introduced in the 76th minute for Grimsby Town as they lost 2-0 at home to Notts County. Dennios Mathew and Jatta Alassana scored for the visitors.
Silko Amari Thomas came off the bench in the 79th minute for Leicester City in their 3-1 win over Ipswich Town, replacing Stephy Mavididi. Bobby De Cordova-Reid, Jordan Ayew and a stunning goal from Issahaku Fatawu sealed the points for Leicester, while the consolation goal for Ipswich came through Jens Cajuste.
In Serbia, Collins Sichenje was one of the standout performers for his club, Vojvodina, as they played out a 0-0 draw against OFK Beograd Mozzart Bet at home.
