The development was officially confirmed through the club’s social media platforms, where Migori Youth announced that the acquisition process for the bus had been successfully concluded.

The milestone follows a formal appeal made earlier in the year by the club’s patron and Uriri MP, Mark Nyamita, during President Ruto’s development tour of the Nyanza region.

According to the club, the request was warmly received by the Head of State, who pledged to support the team in easing its logistical burdens as it competes across the country in the second tier.

Further details revealed that on Saturday, 13 December, Migori Youth FC chairman Abdul Aziz Osman officially signed off on the commencement of the bus assembly at Identity Auto Fabricators Limited in Nairobi.

The assembly process of the bus is now underway, with delivery and presentation expected later this month.

The acquisition of the team bus marks yet another significant leap for the ambitious Migori-based outfit, coming hot on the heels of a lucrative Ksh 6 million sponsorship deal with gaming giants Mozzart Bet.

Once completed, the bus will bring to an end Migori Youth’s long-standing reliance on well-wishers and hired school buses to honour league fixtures, an arrangement that has often strained the club’s resources.

In a statement, the club expressed gratitude to the President and its leadership:

“During His Excellency the President’s tour of the Nyanza region, we, through our patron Hon. Mark Nyamita, formally appealed for support to acquire a team bus to ease our logistical challenges. We are delighted that the President accepted our request and has delivered.

Our chairman, Abdi Aziz Osman, has now officially signed off on the commencement of the construction of a 51-seater team bus at Identity Auto Fabricators Limited.

This is a monumental boost to our mission of nurturing young talent and uplifting the community through football,” part of the communication read.
