Olunga has now scored four league goals in three Qatari Stars League matches.
Michael Olunga continued his hot scoring streak for his club, Al Duhail, on Saturday night, finding the back of the net in a 3-3 draw against Al Arabi.
The Harambee Stars captain found the back of the net in the fifth minute before Abdou Diallo equalized for the hosts seven minutes later. Diallo would then cancel his leveler with an own goal in the 58th minute to put Duhail back in the lead. Abdullah Marafee drew Al Arabi level in the 71st minute.
There was stoppage time drama, with both teams scoring in added time. Ismail Mohamad put Duhail ahead for the third time in the game in the first minute of added time, only for Al Duhail to be denied maximum points by an Omar Al Somah 97th goal from the spot.
Duhail will be in action again on Tuesday in the QFA Cup against Al-Markhiya Sports Club.
In Zambia, Dennis Ng’ang’a scored his first league goal for his club, Zanaco, as they overcame Trident 2-0 away from home. Chawanangwa Kaonga scored the opener in the 34th minute, before Ng’ang’a added the second in the 68th minute. He was named man of the match in the game.
Compatriot John Ochieng was once again introduced off the bench in the second half. He replaced Brian Mwila in the 53rd minute. Zanaco will next host Mufulira Wanderers on September 16.
In Portugal, Johnstone Omurwa started and played for 90 minutes for the third game in a row as his side, Estrela da Amadora, settled for a point in a league match against Portimonense on Saturday evening. The two teams played out to a one-all draw.
Ronald Pereira Martins opened the scoring for Amadora in the 14th minute before Dener Gomes Clemente drew the hosts level in the 38th minute. Next for Amadora is a home match against Porto on September 15th.
Victor Wanyama once again remained on the substitute bench for the entire game as his side was defeated 4-1 by Columbus; their second defeat in three days. Wanyama has now been benched for the last four games.
In England, Clarke Oduor returned to the starting XI against Mansfield after missing Bradford City’s last two games. The match ended in a barren draw.
