In Sweden, Kenyan youngster Stanley Wilson remained on the sidelines, and is yet to play a minute of their current season

Harambee Stars left-back Erick Otieno was in UEFA Conference League action on Thursday, 7 August, as his side—Raków Częstochowa—lost 1-0 to Maccabi Haifa at Miejski Stadion Piłkarski Raków.

Otieno played the full 90 minutes as the hosts went down to an Ethan Azoulay goal minutes after the hour mark, which puts Rakow in a tight position of making the main competition.

Rakow now has to turn around the deficit next week, when the two sides meet in their return leg on Thursday, 14 August.

Also in the same competition, Kenyan midfielder Alwyn Tera played for 18 minutes as Ararat Armenia fell 4-1 to the Czech Republic’s Sparta Prague in a match played at Generali Arena.

Tera, 28, after featuring for the majority of their league game against Van on Monday, was only introduced in the 73rd minute, coming in the place of Karen Muradyan.

He could not, however, alter the trajectory of the game, with the Armenian side now on the brink of an exit, with a return leg coming up on Thursday.

Elsewhere in Sweden, Kenyan youngster Stanley Wilson was named on the bench as AIK won 2-1 against Hungarian side Gyor at home, inching closer to a place in the Conference League finals.

The 18-year-old is yet to start a game in the competition this season, and his last appearance in all competitions dates back to late February.

In Austria, Kenyan midfielder Richard Odada was missing in action as Dundee United settled for a 2-2 draw against SK Rapid at Allianz Stadion.

The 24-year-old’s last appearance for the club came last month against St. Johnstone.
