Breitenmoser returned to inspire his side to a 2-1 win.

Kenyan midfielder Magnus Breitenmoser returned to action after over a month on the sidelines to aid Thun to a 1-2 win over Winterthur in the Swiss Challenge League.

The last time Breitenmoser featured for Thun was back on Saturday 6 March in the 1-0 win over Kriens and made two substitute appearances in subsequent games.

The central midfielder came on as a 76th minute sub replacing Daniel Correia as Thun aimed to preserve their lead.

Correia opened the scoring for Thun in the 18th minute and before the dust could settle after their celebrations Dominik Schwizer doubled their lead.

Substitute Gerzim Pepsi pulled one back for Winterthur in the 52nd minute to set up a nervy finish to the game.

Breitenmoser was born to a Kenya mother Hannah Ndungu and of a Swiss father by the name Breitnmoser and is eligible to play for Kenya having never represented the Swiss National Team.

Elsewhere Kenyan midfielder Handwalla Bwana was puzzled after Nashville FC were held to a 2-2 draw against Cincinnati in the Major Soccer League (MLS) on Sunday.

Nashville failed to win the game despite having 25 attempts of which 13 were on target but managed to score only two goals.

“I don’t know how we didn’t win that game. The first 10 minutes were very, very equally difficult or we weren’t ready, I guess,

“But I still don’t understand. I think every guy in the locker room is shocked how we didn’t win that match. The chances we created almost, I don’t know 34 shots or chances,” said Bwana
