Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada scored and provided an assist as AAB beat HB Koge 2-1 in a Danish Division One game

Kenyan pair of Clyde Senaji and Collins Okumu are Malawi Super League champions. The duo featured for the entire match for Nyasa Big Bullets in a one-all-draw against Silver Strikers at the Kamuzu Stadium on Sunday to finish top of the table with 60 points.

The results meant that Bullets have defended the title three points above Pieter De Jhong’s Silver Strikers who needed to win the match with more than five goals to upset the tables. This was the Peoples Team's fifth league trophy in a row and 17th in the club’s history.

The Kenyan duo, Senaji, and Okumu, were at the heart of the Bullets' defensive line, playing every minute of the match with unwavering commitment and skill.

Bullets broke the deadlock in the 58th minute with a brilliant strike from Patrick Mwaungulu connecting Ernest Petro’s cross but the lead, however, was short-lived as Silver Strikers fought back with Patrick Macheso equalizing in the 71st minute.

This league victory marks the second trophy for the Kenyan duo this season, following their success in the FDH Bank Cup in October and the focus shifts to a hunt for the third trophy in Malawi when they take on Soche Socials in the Castel Challenge Cup.

Odada shines in Aalborg win

Harambee Stars midfielder Richard Odada scored and provided an assist as AAB beat HB Koge 2-1 in a Danish Division One game staged on Sunday.

Visitors, AAB took a 25th-minute lead through Odada after being put through by Oliver Ross with the Kenyan International turning the provider for Tim Prica at the stroke of the first half to give his team a deserved 2-0 lead heading to the break. William Madsen scored six minutes after the restart but his strike proved to be a consolation for Koge.

The win took Aalborg to second on the log with 41 points after 18 games a point behind leaders SønderjyskE. The first and second-placed teams meet in the next league game in what might be a determinant of who gets promoted to the Danish top flight at the end of the season.

Johanna features in Romania

Kenyan International Erick Johanna Omondi played the entire minutes as Arad beat Hermannstadt 2-0 in the Romania Premier League and capped off the match with two assists.

Omondi set up Kevin Luckassen to break the deadlock in the 75th minute before creating a match-winner for Claudiu Micovschi in the 82nd minute. UTA’s second win in two games propels them to tenth in the standings with 22 points.

Ayunga suffers defeat in Scotland

Striker Jonah Ayunga clocked 72 minutes in his second game after returning from injury though was not productive enough to prevent his side 2-0 fall to second-placed Rangers.

Senegalese forward Abdallah Sima was the star of the match as he hit a brace to burry the match and take Rangers to eight points within leaders Celtic.

Stars in Zambia

Former Gor Mahia defender Dennis Ng’ang’a returned to the starting lineup but could not help Zanaco get all three points against Green Eagles in an MTN Premier League match played on Sunday afternoon.

Freddy M Kouablan put the Eagles in the lead in the 18th minute before Isaac Shamuompa Shamujompa restored parity for Zanaco just before the break.

Harambee Stars goalkeeper Ian Otieno was in between the sticks as Zesco United maintained their lead at the top of the Zambian league table with a 3-1 win over FC Muza

Elsewhere, former Gor Mahia and Zesco defender David ‘Calabar’ Owino started and captained Napsa Stars to a 1-0 win over Prison Leopards.

Simon Nkhata scored the all-important goal in the first half to give Napsa a crucial three points in their battle against relegation.

In another Zambian Super League fixture, former Tusker striker Jesse Were played full minutes as Kansanshi Dynamos went down 2-0 to Mutondo.
