Harambee Stars forward Adam Wilson has rejoined Welsh club The New Saints on a permanent deal, following his short spell as a free agent.

Wilson, 25, was on 1 September left without a club, after his contract with English League One side Bradford City was terminated by mutual consent.

The decision left him open to a move on free agency, and it just so seems that his former club were interested in bringing him back to Park Hall.

“The New Saints are delighted to announce the permanent signing of Adam Wilson after his departure from Bradford City on transfer deadline day,” the club posted on its website.

Wilson, born to an English father and Kenyan mother, last featured for The New Saints in the 2024-2025 season, where he led the club to a hat-trick of trophies - the Genero Adran, JD Welsh and JD Cymru trophies.

Also in that period, Wilson contributed to the club’s run in Europe, where he participated in the league phase of the UEFA Conference League

His strong relationship with the club, which started in September 2022 when he first joined TNS from Newcastle United, before a breakout first season, propelled him to a permanent move to Bradford City, where he ultimately failed to nail his place at Valley Parade.

Speaking after returning to Park Hall, Wilson said: “This club has always felt like home to me. From the moment I first arrived, I’ve had a great connection with the fans, the staff, and the players.

“Coming back last season on loan reminded me just how special it is to play here, and I’m absolutely buzzing to be back permanently. I’m excited for what’s to come and can’t wait to get going again.”

Head coach Craig Harrison was also pleased to get the signing over the line, saying: “We were very keen to bring Adam in permanently at the end of last season, but with a year still left on his contract at Bradford – and them earning promotion to League One – he understandably wanted to stay and give pre-season a real go.

“We know exactly what Adam brings to this team. He gives us another dynamic option out wide and is versatile enough to play on either flank or through the middle.

“During his previous spell with us, I think he scored 15 or 16 league goals across a season and a half, which is an excellent return for a wide player.

He brings goals, assists, and that direct attacking threat that really suits the way we play. He’s a fantastic addition to the squad.”
