The 25-year-old, who is capable of playing across the frontline, had just returned from a successful loan spell with The New Saints (TNS) in Wales, where he scored 13 goals, won multiple trophies, and was named the club’s Player of the Season.

His impressive form had raised hopes of a reintegration into the Bantams’ squad, but instead, both parties reached an agreement for his departure.

He becomes the second Kenyan to leave Bradford in recent weeks after Clarke Oduor joined Grimsby Town on loan for the season.

“Adam Wilson has today left Bradford City AFC by mutual consent,” read part of the club statement.

“The forward joined the Bantams in the summer of 2023 and made 16 appearances in claret and amber in all competitions, scoring once.

A Kenyan international, Wilson spent last season on loan at The New Saints, where he netted 13 goals in 41 appearances.”

The club further thanked the 25-year-old for his contribution during his time at Valley Parade.

“Everyone at Bradford City AFC would like to thank Adam for his service and wish him all the best in the future.”

Wilson has been heavily linked with a return to TNS, with the Welsh champions keen on re-signing their reigning Player of the Year.

Initially signed from TNS by Bradford, in August 2023, by then-manager Mark Hughes, Wilson had earlier risen through the youth ranks at Newcastle United before making the move across the border.

He managed four starts in 16 appearances for Bradford, with his lone goal coming against Wrexham, where he struck a memorable equaliser just a month after his arrival.

Internationally, the England-born winger made his debut for Harambee Stars in June, featuring in friendly matches against Chad staged in Morocco.
