Meanwhile, Erick Marcelo Ouma’s Rakow Czestochowa drew 1-1 with Widzew Lodz.

Kenyans continued to find their footing abroad on Saturday, 4 April, as Harambee Stars players and prospects scrambled for game time amid minimal action.

The standout performer was Harambee Stars striker Jonah Ayunga, who extended his fine form for Scottish side St. Mirren by scoring in their 2-0 victory over Aberdeen. Ayunga started the match alongside French striker Mikael Mandron in a 3-5-2 formation and justified the coach’s faith by opening the scoring in the 40th minute, giving St. Mirren a halftime lead.

He was substituted in the 68th minute, with Alex Gogic adding the second goal in the 83rd minute. Despite the win, St. Mirren remain in the lower half of the table, 10th in the 12-team league with 30 points, the same as Aberdeen.

Rising Stars midfielder Andreas Odhiambo also saw action, starting and featuring for 67 minutes as Enkoping SK secured a 3-2 comeback win over Stocksund in the Swedish third tier. Interestingly, the former Kariobangi Sharks player was the only foreigner in the starting XI and the entire squad.

Enkoping initially took the lead in the 12th minute, only for Stocksund to respond with goals in the 20th and 37th minutes to lead at halftime. Odhiambo was substituted in the 67th minute, but his side rallied to score in the 74th and 89th minutes, sealing the victory.

In Poland, Harambee Stars midfielder Timothy Babu Ouma was an unused substitute as Lech Poznan played out a goalless draw away to Jagiellonia. Poznan remain top of the Polish Ekstraklasa with 45 points, three ahead of Jagiellonia, with seven matches remaining in the season.

Meanwhile, Erick Marcelo Ouma’s Rakow Czestochowa drew 1-1 with Widzew Lodz. Ouma missed the match as he continues to recover from an Achilles tendon injury, leaving his side sixth in the league with 39 points.
