Both Abuya and Nondi have been called up in Engin Firat's squad set to play Cameroon twice this month
Kenyan internationals Amos Nondi and Alywn Tera were both in action for Ararat Armenia as they lost their second Armenian Premier League game to Pyunik on Thursday.
Whereas Nondi, who is expected to feature in Kenya’s twin 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifying games against Cameroon later this month started, Tera came off the bench in the second-half for what was 3-1 home humbling.
The hosts took a lead through halftime after Tenton Yenne converted a 37th minute penalty.
The visitors would however respond in the 58th minute through Yusuf Otubanjo, before turning around the scores when Brazilian Agdon Menezes scored after 76 minutes.
The convincing victory for Pyunik was later confirmed in the 83rd minute when Sani Buhari made it 3-1, leaving Ararat just a point behind league-leaders Urartu after eight matches.
Nondi was making his fourth consecutive club start while Tera, who did not get a call into Engin Firat’s squad, was coming off two previous starts that saw him bag a goal against BKMA on 29 September.
Abuya, Oruchum in action
Elsewhere in Tanzania, the Kenyan duo of Christopher Oruchum and Duke Abuya faced off in Yanga’s 4-0 win over Pamba Jiji at the Azam Complex Stadium.
Abuya, one of the names expected to feature for Harambee Stars this month, was once again a starter for Young Africans, as Oruchum marshaled the defense for Pamba Jiji.
It was not a good evening for Oruchum’s side however as they trailed early to an Ibrahim Bacca goal before going down to ten men after Salehe Masoud was shown a second yellow card in the 44th minute.
A penalty conceded by the visitors then allowed Stephane Aziz Ki to double the scores for Young Africans going into halftime.
Mpia Nzengeli added to the host’s tally nine minutes after the break, before Kennedy Musonda wrapped up the annihilation with a goal six minutes from time.

The result saw Young Africans climb to fourth on the Tanzania Premier League standings, but with three games in hand.
Pamba Jiji on the other hand are deep in the relegation zone -15th- with four points, and still winless.
