Kenyan youngster Aldrine Kibet produced a sensational performance on Sunday, scoring four goals to inspire Celta Vigo U19 to a commanding 6–1 victory over CD Roces U19 in a División de Honor Juvenil Group 1 clash.

The 19-year-old midfielder was the undisputed star of the afternoon as Celta’s youth side delivered an attacking masterclass, overwhelming their opponents from the early stages.

Kibet opened the scoring in the 21st minute, before striking again three minutes later to double the hosts’ advantage.

The Kenyan sensation then completed a blistering first-half hat-trick in the 27th minute, giving the Galician side a comfortable 3–0 lead at the break.

After the restart, Kibet continued his outstanding display by grabbing his fourth goal in the 50th minute to extend Celta’s lead to 4–0 and effectively put the match beyond the visitors.

Roces briefly responded two minutes later when Corral pulled one back in the 52nd minute to make it 4–1.

However, any hopes of a comeback were quickly extinguished as Celta regained full control. Carballo added the fifth goal in the 73rd minute before Beltrán wrapped up the emphatic victory with a sixth in the 75th minute.

The remarkable display capped an impressive week for the player who has played for the Kenya U18, U20, U23 and the senior team.

Kibet has now scored five goals in four days. He also netted a hat-trick inside 30 minutes during Sunday’s rout.

Kibet has been enjoying a strong season with the Celta academy since completing a historic move from Tarragona-based Nàstic Academy last July.

His recent performances have continued to highlight his growing reputation as one of Kenya’s most exciting young talents developing abroad.

Earlier this season, the Harambee Stars prospect played a key role in Celta’s run to the semi-finals of the Copa del Rey Juvenil, scoring and assisting in earlier rounds.

He also netted twice in four minutes during a 3–0 win over SD Compostela U19 and scored in the thrilling 4–3 quarter-final victory against Atlético Madrid U19.

Despite his red-hot form, Kibet was overlooked for the latest Harambee Stars squad by head coach Benni McCarthy for the upcoming FIFA Series matches against Estonia national football team, Grenada national football team and Rwanda national football team in Kigali later this month.

McCarthy had previously handed the youngster his maiden senior national team call-up in November ahead of friendly matches against Equatorial Guinea national football team and Senegal national football team.

Meanwhile in Denmark, Daniel Anyembe was on target for Viborg FF, converting from the penalty spot as his side secured a 1–0 victory over Brøndby IF in the Danish Superliga.
