Josh Keeley has singlehandedly pushed Leyton Orient to the FA Cup fourth round. He's incredible on both ends of the pitch

Don't let their name and status fool you - Leyton Orient won't raise a white flag against Manchester City before the kick-off of today's FA Cup fourth-round clash at their charming little Gaughan Group Stadium.

The League One side (third tier of the English football hierarchy) has miraculously reached this stage of football's oldest competition and has all the reasons to dream big and believe in their hero.

Josh Keeley made a crucial save against Derby County in the penalty shootout in the previous round, but that's not his only heroic performance in this season's FA Cup. The 21-year-old also saved a penalty as the O's beat Boreham Wood on penalties in the first round and scored a match-saving equaliser in the 90+9 as the London-based team squeezed past Oldham Athletic in round two.

"The fact that he comes up and keeps us in the competition with that header is extreme, but the kid has got a lot of character and will go far in the game," explained Leyton Orient's coach Richie Wellens after the win against the Rams.

"His reputation is growing all the time. I'm a big believer that goalkeepers, it's not making great saves from penalties, it's about having the character about you to believe you can save it. Josh has got that personality and that swagger."

Keeley, the Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, is on a loan from Tottenham Hotspur. He joined Spurs from St Patrick's Athletic in 2022, spent the second half of last season on loan at National League Barnet.

Today is the day for Keeley's biggest challenge. Who knows, maybe he'll pull off another late heroics against Pep Guardiola's vulnerable giant.
