Spaghetti Bolognese is Vardy's main course, and a brace in the net is his signature dish

Bologna have been undefeated in all competitions for over two months, and then the 38-year-old came to their city and crushed them, scoring twice in Cremonese's 3-1 win

The Premier League clubs remember him really well, and even though he's 38, Jamie Vardy is starting to make sure the Serie A sides never forget him. At least Bologna won't for some time.

The Rossoblu were undefeated for over two months and 12 consecutive games in all competitions - since September 25 when they lost 1-0 to Aston Villa in the Europa League - and then Vardy and his Cremonese came to Stadio Renato Dall'Ara and brushed them aside 3-1!

Moreover, Vincenzo Italiano's men had a chance to fully catch up with the top of the Serie A table, as the eventual win would have put them in fourth spot, just one point behind the leading duo of AC Milan and Napoli.

But alas... Vardy said no.

The former England international and Leicester City and EPL legend bagged a brace, scoring in the 35th and 50th minutes, and completely crushed the hosts. Vardy's Argentinian teammate Martin Payero had previously broken the deadlock a minute after the half-hour mark, while the only thing Bologna managed to do was Riccardo Orsolini's consolation goal from the spot seconds before the break.

This way, the Rossoblu wasted a massive chance to at least hint at a possibility of repeating the Leicester case and winning their first Scudetto after 62 years, just the way the Foxes stunned the entire Premier League and clinched their maiden EPL trophy ten years ago.

On the other hand, Davide Nicola's crew continued a fantastic Serie A campaign, as they are now far from the relegation zone and with a few more wins, they could even enter the race for one of the European spots.
