After Raheem Sterling’s physical confrontation with burglars, Jamie Vardy has now become their latest target — his villa was robbed while he was away at a match
Jamie Vardy and his wife Rebekah have suffered a major scare after their new home in Italy was targeted by burglars over the weekend, according to reports.
The couple relocated to Italy this summer when Vardy completed his move to Cremonese, but while the striker was away facing AS Roma on Sunday, thieves struck. As reported by The Mail, a trio of intruders broke into the Vardys’ villa and escaped with cash, jewellery, watches and several other expensive possessions, including a Patek Philippe.

A police source told the outlet: “We think the gang have been watching him and his family and timed the break-in to coincide when he was away in Rome.”
Another officer explained how the burglars managed to get inside: “We have CCTV which shows the individuals entering the house through a window that was left open. They were on the premises for several minutes before escaping with the watch and several other high-value items. There was a woman inside, not his wife but the babysitter.”

The Vardy family settled in the picturesque town of Salo during the summer, choosing a 2million pounds property with panoramic views of Lake Garda. The move followed Vardy’s departure from Leicester City after 13 seasons, with the 37-year-old joining Cremonese as a free agent following the club’s drop from the Premier League.
