Simiyu joined Police FC in the January transfer window

Former KCB FC forward David Simiyu is delighted to be sipping wisdom from experienced players at Kenya Police FC who he once dreamt of playing alongside.

Simiyu joined Police in the January transfer window from KCB FC and was part of the Law Enforcers spending spree that saw them capture the signatures of experienced players.

In only side second season in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL), Simiyu is chuffed to be in the same camp with seasoned players at Police.

“I'm very happy to be at Police because I found experienced players like Kahata, Musa, Miheso and Rupia. These are players I dreamt of playing with because this is just my second season in the Premier League.

I wanted to experience being around these players, someone like Miheso I just used to hear his name on radio before but I've come to learn that they are just normal players who you can talk to. Musa and Shakava too are easy and easy to interract with,” Simiyu said in an interview posted on the club's YouTube channel.

Simiyu has one goal to his name since joining Police, scoring against his former side KCB FC but after Elvis Rupia was cleared to play, he is set to be handed limited playing time.

The former Vihiga United forward added that the experienced players have helped him settle to life at Police with ease and opened up on his reserved nature.

“I don't see myself having challenges playing with Police because the team has experienced players and I'm usually happy around them but I'm not that talkative, after training I usually go to the house and wait for the next training session. I am not talkative and during sessions and after I am always self-reflecting - looking back at where I have come from,” added Simiyu.
